Just a while ago when thinking about the button configuration to tag characters something came into my mind...

Think about this, Different kind of Tags: Normal Tag or Offensive Tag Shocked.

Normal Tag:
Current character goes away, and the new character comes and take his place , nothing special.
Offensive Tag: The new character joins the fight doing either a flying kick or firing a ki blast or something, doing damage to the enemy.

(Couldnt think of a defensive type of tag)

There could be even capsules for characters to make special moves... I think that with a little development on this idea it could become something cool.. what do you think?

Sounds like a good idea.

Special Tag moves could be like Jeice and Burter's Purple Comet (is that what it's called?)

Don't know....it'll just add another button to fit onto the controller  Undecided We sorta have that though with non-playable characters as capsule don't we?

It would be cool to have Cell beating up Gohan, then the camera pans to the side and you can see Piccolo raging up and then smashing Cell. But then it would be a bit lame for him to just fly off again with no real reason.

A defensive tag could be when the enemy fires an ki blast or finisher at you, your teamate could fly in and block it for you. Just like how Piccolo protected Gohan from Nappa's blast (just without the whole dying part)

perhaps it could work like Marvel Vs Capcom, You select the type of tag while selecting a character in the menu before the fight... or by capsules or something...

I'm guessing capsules would be the only plausible way, and they'd have to work automatically. Perhaps it only works in tag, and causes one of the characters sitting in tag to come and take a hit for you...oh, got a sweet idea.

Let's say you equip this capsule, it causes the tag character to come and take a hit for you. They will then take the damage from that attack. It should work automatically when you're at a certain amount of health or depending on the capsule.

There could be one for < 50% HP, < 25% HP and < 10% HP.

There could also be an offensive one too.

Interesting... I like that...
That way we could make special tag capsules, like The Piccolo one that buurcule sugested.

Something like:

Piccolo Special tag Capsule
Piccolo appears enduring the attack instead opf the current character.
Activated when character Hp < 25%, while defending against a Ki based move.

And ofcourse generic capsules for ofensive stuff, with those restrictions (< 50% HP, < 25% HP and < 10% HP.)

Something like that.

Yeah, that would be good. Though perhaps automatically (instead of having all the different special ones) the character in tag that has the closest relation to the character fighting could step in for it? That's one idea.

Like the thought for the offensive ones too.

Perhaps some could be automatic and some activated as an item by pressing select (like the summons in Dissida, some are auto some are manual XD) That way those who don't want to waste their one item as these action tags then they can set it as a manual one.
