I know that it's not the name but I've been reading some BT4 stuff and watching Budokai Tenkaichi Source. I was also reading the BT4 stuff on the Atari Forum (I saw Mattroid, Kamiccolo33 (my best friend on the forum), Buurcule (Second best friend on forum), and Flpshimizu on there) and I've been starting to think: Could Namco Bandai have already come across this forum and is already making this game and that this is BT4. Why do I think that? Because the game's fighting style is like the BT series yet is kinda mixed with Budokai. What do you guys think?

It's an interesting thought you have there, though there is no way to tell. I doubt Tenkaichi 4 would be that improved since 3. I've learned not to expect too much from Spike. Fair enough, Tenkaichi 3 was great, if you didn't have 1 and 2 before that.

Yeah, but when you've played 1 and 2, 3 isn't really anything new.

Yes and no. The only difference in each is more characters and stages so no. But a site says there is a new Dragon Ball Z game coming for the Wii which you probably know already considering the Atari post.

And like I've said to you plenty of times there is plenty of new things in BT3. And it's more than just more characters and levels.

Spike's main problem is they give to much fan service and thus people will always be disappointed. They should focus more on improving the gameplay further more than anything. The LOG games only had 5 characters and they focus on everything and are very, very enjoyable for me.

On-topic I don't think there will be another BT game until Burst Limit is over. They said BT3 was the last one for PS2 and that was it, nothing about it being completely over. There has been countless rumours over a new game including Donny Clay saying a fourth game would have a create a character mode. But nothing really solid as of yet.

It did have new things, but it wasn't enough in terms of actual gameplay. All they did in my eyes, was make a new story mode, add day and night stages and a few characters which weren't wanted or needed, plus a few updates to abilities. However, the gameplay was the same in my eyes.

I don't think they'd take ideas from here unless we physically gave them the address ourselves.

Personally, the gameplay is good enough for me, and I really enjoy all the fanservicey stuff like the tons and tons of characters.  But your mileage (or, um, kilometres) may vary. Wink

Yeah, for me, Tenkaichi 2 was the breakthrough one, but Tenkaichi 3 just wasn't quite there in terms of being worth another $70 AUS.

I Just hope we can think of a new way to get to Namco Bandai.

Let's see...

The general gameplay was a lot faster and less repetitive than BT2 (how many people had Delta Combination?) , Sonic Sway, Z-Dash, Blaster Wave, new Teleport system (the one I mentioned on another thread), quite a few new add ons to combos, Emergency Ki system, the boost attack system, epic beam struggles (including beam and ball AND death moves like Spirit Bomb), revamped movesets and probably more.

They did take out cancels though and increasing energy to blasts when beam struggling which sucks though.

That's just the gameplay. There was a lot more in other departments.

Certain characters being in the game comes under opinion, it doesn't mean Spike is bad at all. I know plenty who were very happy with the roster, myself included. Future Gohan I thought was the biggest waste of space until I played as him. He's my main now.

Same with the stages.
