Hmm...this is a predicament. The shield it puts up is causing so much of a problem. I don't know what to do.

When you say disorientates, what do you mean? Stun effect? Because if they were stunned, they wouldn't be able to stop you.
Maybe make their screen go fuzzy for a few seconds and they can't move as well.

Yeah, that might work, or if it depended on your fatigue or Ki? It would only come into effect if your fatigue was below a certain point? For instance, you would have a shield up until you had 50 fatigue points, any higher than that and the shield drops. Therefor, if you start playing at low fatigue then the barrier is in effect, but because your fatigue rises as you play, if your fatigue rises over 50 the barrier drops? Or even further, the barrier could be an addition effect of "Kashfa", applying the barrier to "Hero's Melody" when equipped. ? What about thaaaat?

I wish I watched movie 13, I might know what Kashfa fire is, or how hero's melody worked... still good ideas.

They're made up names for Tapion's list, but basically in the movie Tapion played his flute, setting up a barrier around him, preventing Hirudigarn from harming him, he then sucked Hirudigarn into his Ocarina while playing.

I think then that the barrier aspect of Hero's Melody should become an add-on obtained by equipping Kashfa Fire, and the barrier doesn't last forever, it can be broken through eventually.

Could it be OK doing two different abilities that require the ocarina? One could be What you described, and the wall effect could be added with the Kashfa fire capsule.
And another move that imprisons the enemy in your body for... I don't know 5 seconds, dealing damage to the opponent overtime, while increasing your fatigue gauge.
SOmething like that

The only problem with that is, the Ocarina didn't entrap just anybody. It was only because Hirudigarn was imprisoned within Tapion that he was able to entrap him like that inside the Ocarina and inside his body.
That's why I had Kashfa Fire make it when you are fighting Hirudigarn and he is in critical health you can absorb him into the ocarina, defeating him instantly, though you would have to play the ability for a certain amount of time before he did get sucked into it.

I see.. Then im ok with keeping the move as you posted before, with the wall effect added by the Kasfa fire capsule.
