DBZGT Versus Thread

Basically just provide an argument on which character would win in a fight.
Let's start off with the big one:

Goku VS. Vegeta

It depends on the timeline. It's a little hard to say who will win out of Goku and Vegeta because their power levels changed so much throughout the show, and there were periods where Vegeta was stronger, like in Saiyan Saga and when he was Majin Vegeta.

If you're looking at the end of DBZ I think Goku. Although, at certain points in DBZ it could have gone either way. For instance, SS2 Goku vs Majin Vegeta.

Yes, it depends on the timeline. Goku's main-character powers, however, make it very hard for Vegeta since even when he is stronger the spotlight goes to Goku--I'm thinking about the Cell Tournament in particular. Vegeta trained for an extra year, so he should be a good way ahead of Goku. Still, they made it seem as though Goku was way out of Vegeta's league, or they at least implied it.

Dragon Ball to Raditz Saga: Vegeta wins just by looking at Goku hard.
Arrival of the Saiyans: Vegeta is far ahead of Goku. Even with Kaioken, Goku can't quite kill Vegeta and merely exhausts himself beyond being able to win (luckily, Vegeta didn't realize and resorted to Oozaru, the power ball required to make the false moon dropping his energy greatly).
Namek Saga: Even with the zenkai, Goku is still no match for Vegeta (the gap, in fact, may have been increased).
Ginew Saga: Goku's Super-Intense training has put him beyond Vegeta for the first time. Even with the zenkai from fight Recoome, Vegeta has little if any chance against Goku (and that's excluding Kaioken)
Beginning of Frieza Saga: Vegeta's battle power supposedly skyrocketed one he had rested. Otherwise he wouldn't have wrestled so evenly with Frieza. Vegeta would be ahead at this point.
Death of Vegeta: Well, you'd think Vegeta would be ahead with all the zenkai and fighting. However, Goku was boosted past Vegeta by a good deal.
Vegeta's Revival: It would be VERY hard for Vegeta to not have gotten stronger than Goku with all this nearly-- and fully --dying. I'd say he's at least a notch past Goku (excluding Goku's SSJ), though Kaioken would still put an end to Vegeta.
Return of Goku: I don't think the yardrats put Goku through any super-training, so supposedly they'd stay pretty much in place--almost even with Vegeta possibly above a notch.
Arrival of the Androids: Since Goku training for ten days was enough to bridge the gap by a lot between him and Vegeta, you think it would be the same vice-versa. Vegeta would supposedly have made a large gap between him and Goku's power (especially since he gained SSJ).
Goku Awakens: Assuming he gets massive zenkai, for some reason, he's even or even-ish with Vegeta.
Vegeta out of the Time Chamber: If Goku was STILL stronger at this point, I'd smack Akira round tjhe back of the head with a newpaper.
Goku out of the Time Chamber: Goku didn't spend the whole year, but he worked out how to master SSJ. So his SSJ makes him stronger than Vegeta, but theoretically Vegeta is still stronger.
Vegeta out of the Time Chamber, 2nd time: Vegeta will be a good deal stronger than Goku now.
Alive for a Day: I doubt even Vegeta's intense training would be enough to keep the gap between him and Goku, considering Goku get trained in the afterlife where he doesn't need sleep (he'll sleep anyway, but I don't think so much).
Majin: Using the power of Majin in combination with SSJ2, Vegeta bridges the gap between his rival and him with power to spare (with SSJ3, of course, Goku could've left Vegeta in the dust).
End of DBZ: Hard to call this one... Without the Majin power, I'd say Vegeta would be suprassed by Goku at least somewhat (if he had, he may break off a little better than even). I guess I'll say Goku's gotten stronger, possibly for good.
GT: GT sucks... they gave Vegeta a mustache. Also, of course, they were too unoriginal to make Goku anything BUT the best at all times.

This, however, is theoretical--ignoring most of the advantage granted by Goku's main-character-ness.

       Frieza VS. Cooler

Cooler seemed to think of Frieza as being soft and stupid. It's assumable that Frieza was far weaker than Cooler. However, movies never follow DBZ logic (allowing un-Kaiokened Goku to fight evenly with Cooler), so it's hard to tell fully. One possibility is that Cooler doesn't use much of his maximum potential, since he would similarly not be able to control it like Frieza. That, or he's weaker excluding his new transformation, I highly doubt Goku's base ever reaches 80,000,000.

Cooler is much stronger than Frieza. When we first see Cooler, he is in his 4th form (i think) which would be Frieza's final form. However, he can transform once more and that transformation would make Frieza look like nothing. Although, Cooler, whilst in his 4th form, could kill Frieza anyhow. Also, Meta Cooler outclasses Frieza massively.

If we look at when the movie is set, probably between Goku's arrival from Yadrat and the androids coming, Goku, in his SSJ form, found Cooler a bit of a challenge. Although, if that were Frieza, Goku would have thrashed him. Infact, Goku thrashed Frieza in the Frieza saga as SSJ, in the most part. So, if you are lost, what I am trying to say is that if Goku found Cooler a challenge even after healing from the battle with Frieza and being on Yadrat, then Cooler must be a heck of a lot stronger than Frieza. Although, then again, Cooler was in his 5th form against SSJ Goku and I think Goku would have owned Cooler had he been in his 4th form. Meta Cooler was owning Goku, as a SSJ, in that movie so it's clear he could beat Frieza. 

By the way guys, for this game how about you guess what Cooler would have looked like in his previous forms so we can play as him in them?

I can't really imagine Cooler being in his other forms...I don't know. Maybe he just never went to them because he didn't need to suppress his power. But I think we need to get the most important characters first. There are characters in the list here that I currently don't think should be in a fighting game, like Launch for one. And we still need to discuss how we are setting the characters up.

I would have to say Cooler because Frieza can only go up to forth form where Cooler on the other hand can go to Fifth form

Ok, here is one for us all. What do we think about Krillin v Yamcha?

hmmmm I would have to go with krillin seeing how he noes destructo disk. (he could just chop him up )
but then again yamcha has spirit ball and he could beat krillin from a distance. but I would have to go with krillin on this one

That's a hard one. You never see them fight in DBZ, I think. Maybe except for the episodes when Yamcha is taken over the water mist (or whatever it's called). I would say Yamcha, just because I like him more.

Ok what about a new fight, who would win out of Nuova and Eis shenron? I would say Nouva not just because he is my favorite character but if Eis froze Nouva he could melt out of it (I read somewhere that he could make his body the heat of the sun in one second!) so I vote for Nouva on this one

I would vote for Nuova as he almost defeated Omega Shenron, but failed. However, is much weaker than Omega. By the way, I don't actually remember Eis well, lol, but I remember the name.

To make this whole thread a heck of a lot more simple. Don't add canon vs. non-canon stuff, it's as easy as that.
